Sensitive Voltammetric Quantification of Amlodipine in Pharmaceutical Tablets and Human Urine Using a Boron-Doped Diamond Electrode

摘要
A boron-doped diamond electrode was used as a perspective electrochemical sensor for the sensitive determination of amlodipine. Electrochemical oxidation of amlodipine is an irreversible process providing single oxidation peak at a potential of +0.75 V vs. Ag/AgCl electrode in Britton-Robinson buffer solution at pH 5. Using differential pulse voltammetry, the limit of detection was found to be 0.07 mu M. The method was successfully applied to the determination of amlodipine in pharmaceuticals with result similar to that declared by the producer. Additionally, a biological relevance of the developed procedure was demonstrated by analysis of model human urine samples with adequate recoveries.
