摘要
Low friction coefficient and high wear proof is in high demand in automobile industry such as Diamond-Like Carbon. One of the optimistic situations to use DLC with additives is not well understood. The reason of this complication due to the fact that DLC has an ability to change its structure by friction although it is chemical inert, tribo-chemical reaction affects to additives to change its shape and properties. Molybdenum trioxide (MoO3) is assumed to be one of the wear acceleration material derived from MoDTC. To clarify the effect of MoO3 particles on the wear of DLC, we prepared MoO3 particles to mix with PAO oil and carried out friction test between a-C:H, DLC-Si and stainless steel ball under boundary lubrication condition. It was clarified that MoO3 particle was wear acceleration material.
