摘要：

A new species of the genus Bryconops is described from the rio Tocantins. The new species is distinguished from congeners by the colour pattern, number of predorsal scales, rows of scales above the lateral line and around the caudal peduncle as well as horizontal eye diameter, distance from snout to dorsal-fin origin and maxillary length.
