摘要：
The routine obstetric ultrasound examination is the beginning of a thorough fetal evaluation and an indispensable tool in obstetric practice. The utility and application of obstetric ultrasound for the general obstetric provider is explored. Guidelines for performing and documenting the obstetric ultrasound are discussed for each gestational age, and recommendations for appropriate consultation are provided.
