Diffraction of antiplane shear waves in a piezoelectric laminate with a vertical crack

摘要
In this study, the diffraction of antiplane shear waves by a finite crack in a piezoelectric laminate is considered. The piezoelectric layer is bonded between two half-spaces of a different elastic solid, and the crack is vertical to the interfaces. Both cases of an internal crack and a terminated crack are studied. Based on the superposition principle and the integral transform techniques, the solution is obtained in terms of a singular integral equation. The singular integral equation is solved by using the Gauss-Jacobi integration formula. Numerical calculations are carried out, and the effects of frequency and geometric parameters on the dynamic stress intensity factor and the dynamic energy release rates are shown graphically.
