Spectral analysis of PbTiO3:: Sm3+ or Dy3+ ferroelectric ceramics

摘要
This paper reports on the spectral analysis of Lead Titanate (PbTiO3) ferroelectric ceramics with Sm3+ or Dy3+ ions. These ceramics were prepared by using a solid state reaction method. Emission spectrum of Sm3+ : PbTiO3 powder ceramic has shown emission bands at 559 nm ((4)G(5/2)--> H-6(5/2)), 596 nm ((4)G(5/2) -->H-1(7/2)), 643 nm ((4)G(5/2) --> H-6(9/2)) and 698 nm ((4)G(5/2) --> H-6(1/2)) with an excitation at 408 nm (H-6(5/2) --> L-4(13/2)), of them (4)G(5/2) --> H-6(7/2) (596 nm) has shown a bright orange- reddish emission. Dy3+: PbTiO3 powder ceramic has shown a strong yellow emission at 582 nm, (F-4(9/2) --> H-6(13/2)) with 451 nm (H-6(15/2) --> I-4(15/2)) as an excitation wavelength. Besides, their structural characteristics have also been investigated.
