摘要
In-situ scanning electron microscope studies on fatigue small crack behavior have been carried out on high strength aluminum alloy. The SEM microscopic observation reveal short fatigue crack growth at a intermittent manner. Analysis of obtained data shows that such intermittent growth can be a characteristic of short fatigue crack, reflecting fatigue damage accumulation process at crack tip.
