摘要
In this paper, a novel multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) coded space-time (CST) turbo equalization structure is introduced for single carrier broadband signaling. The new technique exploits transmit diversity, path diversity as well as coding gain through turbo iterations over the decoder branches in the receiver, and it is referred to as coded space-time single carrier transmission with soft cancellation minimum mean squared error filtering (CST Coded SC-MMSE) based equalization. The proposed system has two different iteration loops: horizontal and vertical, by which the path diversity gain and coding gain are achieved, respectively. The number of horizontal and vertical iterations can be determined using a scheduling technique, which is introduced in this paper as well. Performance of the CST SC-MMSE equalizer is evaluated in terms of bit-error-rate (BER) and frame-error-rate (FER). It is shown that the new structure can achieve excellent performance due to two turbo loops.
