摘要
Poor or inadequate health literacy is prevalent and can lead to insufficient disease management, resulting in complications and hospitalizations. Patients and caregivers cannot rely on the medical community to meet all their information needs, and they require ways to improve comprehension of health information at home. New technology could change how patients and caregivers interact with health information online, making it easier for them to take charge of their own health education. "Got It" is a context-sensitive, personalized learning tool for the web, in the form of a chrome plug-in, that facilitates an interactive learning environment, helping readers improve their health literacy and confidence in their ability to manage health conditions.
