Peritoneal Dialysis An estimated 3.8 million people worldwide have end-stage kidney disease and require some form of dialysis to survive. Peritoneal dialysis is used in approximately 11% of patients undergoing dialysis. This review discusses the pragmatic aspects of caring for such patients.
