摘要
The effects of various substrate materials such as mild steel, aluminum alloys and carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP) epoxy composites on the value of the adhesive fracture energy (Gc) were investigated. Both double cantilever beam and tapered double cantilever beam specimens were analyzed using linear elastic fracture mechanics tests. The results revealed no differences in the values of Gc for the mild steel and aluminum alloy joints while the value for the CFRP joints was comparatively lower.
