An Ultra-wideband Fermi Tapered Slot Antenna with Waveguide-Microstrip Transition Device

摘要
In order to solve the feeding problem of W-band printed antenna and improve the gain of the array antenna element, a waveguide-microstrip transition feed device is designed to feed the Fermi tapered slot antenna. This transition device of four steps gradient method is used in the waveguide to achieve impedance transformation between waveguide and microstrip antenna. The simulation results of CST Microwave Studio (R) show that the reflection coefficient is lower than -10dB in the frequency range of 75.7 GHz to 110 GHz, the gain at the typical frequency of 94 GHz reaches 16.7 dB. The measurement results are in good agreement with the simulation results. The antenna can be applied to the antenna array of passive millimeter wave imaging system.
