Before starting construction of Wind Power Station (WPS), an investor has to solve dilemma of the WPS type selection. On the market there are several sale WPS offers, differing in significant design parameters. The selected model of WPS, should correspond to the local climate characteristics and properties of grid at a PCC point. The article discusses the parameters of the WPS and environmental factors that have a significant influence on the plant choice. The results of these considerations are the determination of characteristics of the WPS which are planned for installation in various terrain conditions and indication of key features which should be taken into account during selection of the type of the WPS.
