Multi-mode digital IF receivers in future mobile communication environments

摘要
This paper describes multi-mode digital IF receivers in future mobile communication environments. The two key points are multi-mode and digital IF. The third generation wireless system was launched recently and the wireless environment has become more complex because of the co-existence of three different mobile standards. There is therefore a special need to have a device, which can operate with all three mobile standards. Our study shows that the best choice for a future receiver would be using digital IF technology. This paper describes the simulation results of the digital part in the whole receiver.
