摘要
This essay is about over forty years studies on Roman Renaissance edited by Maurizio Calvesi in the context of his academical career at Sapienza University in Rome. An important series of exhibitions about the Fifteenth-Century in concerning Rome and surroundings began in 1981. In the meantime Maurizio Calvesi and his School organized many congresses, exhibitions and monographical studies. In this occasion there were many new scientific contributions about the less known places and authors: the Sistine Chapel, Beato Angelico and Nicccoline Chapel, Piero della Francesca, Pinturicchio, Antoniazzo Romano, Sistine and Borgian architecure, urbanism and antiquarian tradition in Rome and also in Latium: Viterbo, Rieti, Bracciano and Ostia.
