摘要
Nowadays, cloud computing becomes the very popular platform for hosting web based application due to its on-demand resource availability and scalability. In this survey paper, we examine the latest trend in cloud computing and one of their most promising applications in the robotics world as an on-demand resource provider. This study presents a brief technical introduction to cloud robotics, related technical challenges and the approaches used for using cloud resources for sharing knowledge base, large datasets and parallel processing of computationally intensive tasks. This paper provides novelties within few of the existing cloud robotics framework with their technical approaches and limitations. Moreover, it raises concerns related to security aspects and proposed a framework which provides security enabled cloud robotic services.
