摘要：

Exact soliton solutions of the dark discrete nonlinear Schrodinger (DNLS) equation with nonvanishing boundary conditions are found and especially it is shown that the dark DNLS equation can have both dark and bright soliton solutions. Some solitary wave solutions of the DNLS equation with nonvanishing boundary conditions are also derived.
