Nutritional status is associated with lung function and plays a critical role in the management of the pediatric patient with COVID-19 who depends on ventilatory support. An inadequate nutritional status, such as; malnutrition, can severely impairs lung function, so providing an adequate nutritional support; enteral or parenteral, is of utmost importance to improve prognosis and lung function in pediatric patients. Nutritional support aims to complete the nutrients requirement and to modulate the pulmonary inflammatory response also must take into account the points of; detecting. nurturing and monitoring in order to carry out the nutritional care process. The objective of this work is to describe guidelines of the nutritional management in pediatric patients with COVID-19.
