摘要：

Personalized medicine provides a new approach to the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of each patient, based on the genetics and lifestyle of each person. For this purpose, biomarkers are used to identify and classify patients according to their individual characteristics. Pathology has not been exempt from this new therapeutic strategy, and thanks to molecular studies designed in recent years, genetic signatures have been identified in numerous neoplasms. These key marks can be studied using different technical approaches, and allow the pathologist to integrate histological and molecular information, in order to address these diseases in a safer and more effective way. This review details the main biomarkers used for the study of tumors in Pathology, which constitute a vital tool to determine the appropriate personalized treatment of our patients.
