Online health monitoring of repaired non-structural cracks with innovative 3D printed strips in heritage buildings

摘要
Many studies have outlined commercial epoxy-based, and 3D printed strip-like solutions to repair non-structural cracks (NSC) in heritage buildings. But hitherto little has been reported on condition monitoring of repaired NSC with innovative 3D printed strips. This study reports the online condition monitoring of 3D printed smart strip solutions (developed for maintenance and repair of NSC). The polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF)-6%graphene-3 % Mn-doped ZnO (electro-active/conducting (C) polymer) and PVDF-6 %CaCO3 (self-healing/non-conductive (NC) polymer) composite-based dual 3D printed smart strip (as of repair solution of NSC in heritage building) was explored for innovative sensing capabilities. The ring resonator test of dual 3D printed composite outlined that the 3D printed strip may be used for online health monitoring of the repaired NSC in heritage buildings (by using a BlueTooth device with an operation bandwidth of 2.5 GHz).
