Heat release estimator based globally linearizing control of a chemical reactor

摘要
An energy model based, globally linearizing controller (EMBGLC), supported by a deterministic filter, is presented for temperature control of an exothermic batch reactor. The deterministic filter is used to estimate the rate of heat release required for the controller. The results of the EMBGLC supported by the deterministic filter are compared with the EMBGLC based on other deterministic heat release estimators including a direct energy balance and a kinetic rate expression. The results show that the EMBGLC based on deterministic filter provides better performance for the temperature control of the exothermic batch chemical reactor.
