Properties of surfactant-enriched air-water interface under dynamic conditions

摘要
The paper highlights selected effects measured for dynamically deformed surface of water in presence of a lung surfactant and its main constituent - DPPC. Dynamic response of the interface to compression and relaxation depends on temperature and the time-scale of deformation. Mass transfer enhancement due to the dynamically induced Marangoni effects is demonstrated. The significance of capillary phenomena in the lungs and other systems is discussed.
