The birth of papermaking in Canada is chronicled by David Carruthers of La Papeterie St-Armand and is based on his research along with the work done by David's grandfather, George Carruthers, as published in his history of the industry, Paper in the Making (Garden City Press Co-Operative, Toronto: 1947).
