A Brief Analysis of the Construction and Reform of English Cross-cultural Teaching Mode

Language is the carrier and the representation of the culture and the culture is the connotation and essence of the language. College English teaching is a platform to richen the cross-language knowledge and improve the cross-cultural abilities, and must reflect the close combination of the cross-language and cross-culture. Based on the analysis of the main literatures researching on the cross-cultural teaching in college English, this paper constructs the structural model and the practical model of the cross-cultural teaching in the college English teaching, aiming to enhance the cross-cultural sensitivity and tolerance of the college students, and the flexibility to deal with the cultural differences, expand the cultural influence of the college English teaching, and enhance the cultural soft power in colleges and universities.
