摘要
Fast and accurate fault location is crucial for the rapid recovery of power supply in distribution network and also vital importance to the reliable operation of the power system. This paper proposed a method of high-speed fault location based on circuit breaker reclosing transients. When a fault occurs in distributed system, faulted sections can be selected by contional methods. The circuit breaker reclosing transients is used for exact fault distance estimation in case of an unfounded permanent fault. As a result, it takes advantage of efficiency and practicality by reducing the time for positioning and ensuring the accuracy of location at the same time, and it doesn't require the introduction of additional equipment or signal path. The performance of the proposed method is verified through Matlab/Simulink simulation.
