摘要
One of the main strategic features of the LunarSat space mission are the Public Outreach and Education (PO/E) activities: the project aims to reach more than 50 000 young people in Europe. The goal is to create fascination and motivation for astronautics and astronomy amongst young people aged between 6 and 20 years, hence building up the substratum of the future european high-tech workforce. The respective projects of the LunarSat PO/E division target both at schools as well as university students. The media outreach strategy is based on an innovative approach applying World Wide Web promotional activities and introducing a virtual/real world-game called "MoonCivilization". "Distributed Teams" have been created over the last two years and successfully accomplished vital project tasks. Further, a multimedia kit ("EducationalPackage") is currently in the prototype phase allowing for an in-depth penetration into schools by means of small classroom projects.
