摘要
In this paper, a novel noncontact proximity sensor with a multivibrator kernel is designed with the theory: When objects approach to the probe of the sensor, the change of the "displacement current" induced by the proximity will influence the real current in the probe and then the frequency of the multivibrating oscillator. Therefore the frequency change can reflect the condition of objects' proximity. The sensor is able to detect all kinds of objects with one single probe and is sensitive to objects' thickness. Moreover, its single probe may detect a large area and be set to be sensitive to some selected areas.
