Calculation of the spin deorientation in (alpha,2n gamma) reactions

摘要：
A general method for the calculation of the nuclear-spin orientation at various stages of compound-nucleus reactions is presented. Results of calculations performed by this method are compared with experimental data on the spin orientation of discrete Cd-110,Cd-112 levels populated in the Pd-108,Pd-110(alpha,2n gamma) reactions at various projectile energies. The validity of the Gaussian hypothesis concerning the side-feeding part of the m-substate population is discussed.
