摘要
In this paper, the modern numerical methods for calculating the magnetic fields of a linear induction machine are considered. A comparative analysis of the possibilities of the finite element method with various types of elements between detailed equivalent circuit with different degrees of approximation is given. Nonlinear magnetic properties in each method are taken into account by different methods. The possibilities of taking into account the transverse edge effect using the Bolton's coefficient in two-dimensional calculations are analyzed by comparing the obtained results from detailed magnetic equivalent circuit method and finite element method.
