摘要
This paper and the accompanying poster describe a methodology for the assessment of student competences through project based assignments that has been developed at the Bauman Moscow State University. 21(st) Century graduates of engineering need more than just strong technical skills and this construct provides a rubric to define three distinct components of professional quality as a function of overall attainment: 1) knowledge and skills, 2) thought-literacy and 3) personal characteristics connected to the profession that is expressed as a 5x5 table. The rubric uses a mentally structured approach and has been used to gather data from student participants about their coursework submissions and feeds into a specially developed computer algorithm.
