摘要
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), obesity is rapidly becoming the number-one prevent-able cause of death in the United States (Mokdad et al., 2004). The alarming rise in obesity began in the 1970s and has been growing even more rapidly in recent years. From 1991 through 1998, the prevalence of adult obesity increased by 57% (Mokdad et al., 1999).
