摘要
A distributed fault location method is proposed for T-connection transmission line. Each branch of T-connection transmission line is installed with two sets of fault travelling wave detectors, through which the energy of the first travelling wave is detected to judge the fault branch. Two fault detection points on the fault branch are arranged to detect time difference of travelling wave sequence so as to calculate the velocity of the travelling wave and location of the fault points. In PSCAD, a frequency-domain transmission line model is set up to simulate different fault types and locations on the transmission line. The simulation results show that this method has no dead zone in identifying the fault branch, and is capable of on-line computation of the velocity of travelling wave. The fault location precision is greatly improved.
