摘要
Wideband low-noise amplifiers (LNAs) are extensively employed in various systems such as software-defined radio (SDR), multi-mode transceivers, and high-speed links. However, gain-bandwidth products are quite limited as operation frequencies approach f(max). This paper introduces some bandwidth extension design techniques for millimeter-wave and terahertz LNAs in CMOS technologies. Stagger tuning technique of multi-stage LNA, transformer-based matching network and pole-control technique with transformer feedback are discussed and compared.
