Synthesis, characterization and photoelectric properties of a novel carbazole-containing Re(I) complex

摘要
A novel carbazole-containing Re(I) complex, Re(CO)(3)ClL (L = 1-ethyl-2-(N-ethyl-carbazol-4-yl) imidazo[4,5-f] 1, 10-phenanthroline), has been synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, FT-IR, UV-vis, H-1 NMR and emission spectroscopy, and cyclic voltammetry. The double-layer electroluminescence device of ITO/TPD (30 nm)/Re(CO)(3)ClL (10 nm)/Mg0.9Ag0.1 (110 nm)/Ag (60 nm) fabricated by vacuum-deposition technique was found to emit bright orange-red light with a turn-on voltage of 5 V and a maximum luminance of 113 cd/m(2) at a bias voltage of 9 V.
