摘要：
Recent biomechanical studies of tendons have shown that tendons do not have a uniform strain pattern when placed under tensile loads. This has been found particularly at the tendon insertion site. The area most commonly affected by insertional tendinopathy appears to display the lowest strains. This suggests that insertional tendinopathy may be associated with stress shielding or compression rather than failure due to tensile loading.
