摘要
The crystal structures of tris(dimethylammonium) hexabromoindate(III) (1) and bis(4-chloropyridinium) pentabromoindate(III) (2) are determined, The structure of 1 consists of two kinds of isolated octahedral [InBr6](3-) anions; trigonal, R (3) over bar, Z = 12, a = 2895.8(9) and c = 828.2(3) pm. Compound 2 has an isolated distorted square pyramidal [InBr5](2-) anion; triclinic, P (1) over bar, Z = 2, a = 771.8(3), b = 907.5(4), and c = 1492.0(6) pm, alpha = 81.52(1), beta = 83.98(1), and gamma = 71.60(1)degrees. The five-coordinated In-III compound is very rare. The shapes of anions are compared with the results of MO calculations. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
