摘要：

It is undeniable that language, culture and communication are intrinsically linked to each other. Language and communication are parts of their culture; communication is realized through language; while conditioned by culture. Thus, in present English language teaching in China, language teaching couldn't be conducted singly without English culture teaching and learners' intercultural interactions. In this thesis, the author has a critical review of culture teaching in foreign language teaching at home and abroad, in order to disclose the close relationship among language teaching, culture teaching and intercultural communication, and to shed some light on intercultural English teaching in China.
