摘要
In the present work, the iron oxide nanoparticles are synthesized by co-precipitation method using ammonia as a precipitation agent and studied their structural, optical and magnetic properties by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscope (SEM), photoluminescence, and vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM). The synthetic methodology has been developed to get a well dispersed and homogeneous aqueous suspension of maghemite nanoparticles. The XRD pattern shows the successful formation of nanoparticles without any impurity and the crystallite size is observed as similar to 8 nm. The excitation wavelength of gamma-Fe2O3 nanoparticles is found to be 340 nm (2.63 ev)
