摘要：

The double ring closing metathesis reaction of alpha -hydroxyester derived tetraenes 4 proceed to give spirocyclic dihydropyrans in excellent yield and with good selectivity. The first examples of diastereoselective double RCM reactions to give medium ring spirocycles are also reported.
