摘要
This paper studies the lesbian leading to prove if lesbian characters characters in Spanish TV series revolving their relationship with maternity. The objective is to check if lesbian characters are associated with maternity or maternity desire, as it is been traditionally done with women in general. Another aim is to investigate how these characters reach maternity in the different historical periods that TV fiction covers. Finally, we try to describe the experience of upbringing in lesbian TV families. We conclude that maternity is essential in the majority of lesbian leading characters plots and the way lesbian maternity is portrayed has widely changed through the decades, especially in the way they access motherhood and in the way the lesbian characters are portrayed.
