摘要
This paper presents a hypothesis framework for Industry 4.0 adoption. It is known as the "Three I's" and addresses Implementation, Implications and Impact in the context of Industry 4.0. Research has been conducted regarding the lack of an agreed upon definition for Industry 4.0. Literature suggests that there isn't sufficient knowledge about Industry 4.0 in Ireland. Fifteen semi-structured interviews were carried out with stakeholders in Ireland to gain insight into their concerns and priorities during this transitional period into Industry 4.0. Their responses proved that there is a lack of knowledge, education and skills regarding Industry 4.0. Therefore, a proposed module was developed to help educate students and workers about Industry 4.0 with the help of the "Three I's" hypothesis framework. Copyright (c) 2022 The Authors.
