摘要
Electrical properties of pristine nematic hexylcyanobiphenyl (6CB) liquid crystal and graphene oxide (GO)-dispersed 6CB samples were investigated by impedance spectroscopy technique. The modulus, dielectric, conductivity, and impedance properties of pure and graphene oxide-doped samples were analyzed as a function with frequency at zero voltage and room temperature. The real dielectric permittivity of the samples decreases with increasing frequency. It has damping at 100 Hz and 0.5 MHz frequencies due to electrical charge-discharge or molecular orientation change. The real part of electric modulus zero in the low frequencies and it overgrows in the around 1 kHz and 1 MHz frequency. The imaginary part of the electric modulus gives a peak owing to electric charge transport at about 1 kHz frequency. The electrical conductivity has increased with increasing GO ratio in liquid crystal. Contrast ratio of GO-dispersed liquid crystals has been examined by the help of a light transmittance experiment. According to the results of the transmittance experiment, the contrast ratio of samples slightly changes with graphene oxide dispersing.
