摘要
This paper deals with the reliability characteristics of a two unit redundant system with a warm standby and a single repair facility taking into consideration some managerial controls and environmental constraints. When only one unit is under failure, the rapair rate is mu. However, on failure of the second unit, the repair I ate is geared upto a faster rate beta > mu, if the first unit is undergoing repair at the repair facility. The repair rate continues to be at this higher level till the end of a random period or a repair completion, whichever occurs first. Taking into account several costs explicitly, some static optimizations are discussed.
