Asymptotic waveform evaluation for S-domain solution of electromagnetic devices

摘要
This paper presents an efficient method for the computation of electromagnetic transients, We employ fast frequency-sweep methods, such as Asymptotic Waveform Evaluation (AWE) or the Lanczos-based ALPS procedure, to determine the frequency response of an electromagnetic system over a broad frequency band. Using a rational function fitting procedure, we compute a reduced-order model of the system's port parameters. Next, an equivalent circuit model is formed. A circuit simulator such as SPICE tan then be used to compute the transient response of the system in conjunction with nonlinear driver and load devices. We provide examples to demonstrate the accuracy and efficiency of this technique.
