摘要
A universal scrollable awning design is presented by first time. It is intended to transform any roof in a new one configurable, providing a useful way to deal with snow, and both loads, summer heating and winter cooling. The thermal gain obtained from the solar irradiation for a roof with and without the proposed device was numerically simulated, and significant improvements were found. The concept of a configurable roof is further discussed and compared with the adiabatic classic concept. In this sense, this proposal could help us to modify the deeply-rooted paradigm of the classic roof.
