摘要
An experiment was conducted for evaluating the performance of crop raised from the seed of different methods of seed production. Significant difference in seed yield was recorded under different methods of seed production. The maximum average seed yield was recorded when seed was produced in in situ condition with treatment after giving the plus (+) cut mark under in situ condition. However, equally good seed yield was recorded in treatment when 1/3 top portion of head was removed and then given plus cut mark. Minimum average yield was recorded when completely matured heads were transplanted for seed production. The head weight, diameter and percentage of head formation did not have significant difference with method of seed production. However, the number of loose leaves was more when the re-transplanting was done on 60(th) day. Delay in transplanting for 30(th) day onward decreased the seed yield.
