摘要
The corrosion properties of AZ91 and its alloy with 0.33 wt.% strontium were investigated in a 200 ppm Cl- solution. The microstructures of the alloys were examined by X-ray diffraction and electron probe X-ray microanalysis. Potentiodynamic polarization and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy were used to evaluate the corrosion resistance of the alloys. AZ91 with 0.33 wt.% Sr addition showed better corrosion resistance than AZ91 due to the increase of second phases (Mg2Sr, Al4Sr, and AlSr compounds) at the grain boundary, refined grain size and more continuously dispersed beta phase.
