摘要
Solar panels consisting of tnultiple solar arrays provide power to satellites. They have unique I-V characteristics. A specialized DC power supply like a Solar Array Simulator (SAS) must be used for the accurate simulation of solar array V-I characteristics for ground testing of complete spacecraft or spacecraft power subsystem. The Advanced Solar Array Simulator (ASAS) is based on SMPS concept and it gives the switching response to voltage regulator operating at 25KHz or more. The ASAS is highly efficient considering the factors such as improved electrical characteristics, low thermal dissipation, compact size and higher throughput. This paper describes the complete working principle of the concept, design of the circuit, its simulation analysis and development of ASAS.
