摘要
The huge number of markers discovered when decoding a draft sequence of the human genome has become a powerful tool for describing the genetic characteristics of peoples and reconstructing the history of their formation and the emergence of man as a species as a whole. The progress of this research within the framework of genomics has led to the emergence of a new area of science-ethnogenomics. The main task of ethnogenomics is to study the characteristics of genomic polymorphism and genomic diversity of various groups of population: separate communities, ethnoses, and ethnoterritorial communities. The author of the paper below researches the history of peoples that inhabit the Volga-Ural region.
