摘要
The author has been given the chance to act as the point of contact with various companies for the purpose of inter-industry cooperation. Based on this experience, it became obvious that innovation processes are quite different depending on the type of business. The author's awareness of this fact became clear regarding innovation in the product creation phase in the construction industry. The ability to give technical suggestions to customers as well as to explain associated technology, along with actually developing such technology, is very important. When different types of businesses and technologies are involved in innovation in this way, the techno-producer plays a major role in making such innovation in various businesses and industries successful. This paper describes abilities required for techno-producers to effectively act to make innovation happen in the construction industry, by clarifying characteristics and features of the industry. This paper discusses differences in role of techno-producer (1) by difference in production system and (2) by comparison of the construction industry and other industries.
